Death Claims Mrs. Josephine Manning

Last Friday afternoon the angel of death called to her reward Mrs. Josephine Manning of this city.

Mrs. Manning was 71 years old and was born in Illinois but moved to Minnesota at an early age. She came to Creede from Mesita, Colo., about two years ago.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. A. Jones of Dolores, Colo.; Mrs. C. M. Davis of Midlothian, Texas, and Mrs. K. F. Patterson of Cortez, Colorado, two sons, G. B. Manning of Wagon Wheel Gap and L. H. Willson of Olivia. Minn. Also one sister living in the same city.

The body was shipped to Alamosa where interment took place Tuesday.

Mrs. Manning was of a good, kindly disposition and was well respected by all those who knew her. The Candle offers to the bereaved relatives the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
